FAQ
Our highly-skilled team will dismantle your existing deck entirely. We over-engineer all of our new decks and go way above and beyond the “minimum” requirements. Our craftsmanship sets the bar for other deck-builders to aspire to. Typical deck projects take about a week to complete. Everything is built to code regardless if it’s getting inspected or not.
Typical decks take about 1 week from start to finish (weather permitting), once we receive all materials needed to complete your project.
Sub-frame materials are pressure-treated #2 grade. We only use #1 premium deck boards (unless you’re going with composite). We only use #1 grade support posts. Our footings are always oversized and packed with rebar. We utilize a local engineer to perform any unknown load calculations necessary. Railing options vary greatly so feel free to ask us for more details.
We utilize design software to illustrate your deck. Every deck is custom-fit for the homeowners specific application. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to decks.
Absolutely. In addition to the manufacturer’s warranty on their specific product; we also offer a 5-year limited warranty on workmanship. This is above and beyond that industry standard 1-year warranty provided by most of our competitors.
Converting gives you the freedom to enjoy an enhanced outdoor experience without suffering from the harsh climate conditions we face here in the south. You can fully enjoy the serenity of your outdoor space without breaking a sweat or shivering. These conversions also add value to your property and generally have a positive return on your investment.
A full 4-Season conversion is considered an “addition” of living space. This means you can directly add the new square footage of living space to the spec of your home if you ever go to market in the future. A 3-Season room is very similar to your typical sunroom. It’s comfy and cozy for most of the year, but is NOT considered additional “living space”
First, you will need an engineered plan and design/layout of the proposed space. Then we go to permitting, then commence with construction. Homeowners can finalize their fit & finish details while we’re under construction. Typical projects take 4-6 weeks to complete.
Absolutely. Homeowners should take considerations of either adding a secondary HVAC system OR upgrading their existing HVAC system in order to handle the climate control of the additional living space. Mini-splits have become the most cost-effective alternative for this application.
As a general contractor, we are able to offer you a better deal for combining multiple projects or trade tasks. Performing a complete exterior renovation is always encouraged for many beneficial reasons. Besides the cost-savings, you will reap the benefit of having a 100% completely waterproofed home that meets or exceeds the stringent energy-code requirements for today’s new homes. The sooner you can perform these tasks, the sooner you can start saving significantly on your energy bills every month.
The new door, window & siding products of today are produced under very strict requirements that the manufacturer’s must meet or exceed. This all boils down to having the most energy-efficient products, that will last longer, provide a more comfortable living space, offer greater protection from the outdoor elements, and can qualify you for certain tax credits. Likewise, having a qualified team of installers will maximise all of these effects. Improper installations or inexperienced installers will have a significant negative impact on these effects.
We offer a variety of all exterior products, and we are not brand-specific to our recommended products. Each manufacturer offers their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Talking with a qualified and reputable contractor will only help you to make the most informed decisions for your home. In siding products, we have the most experience with Hardie, Allure, Versatex, Everlast and Sagipur (composites). In doors and windows we can provide and install any and all manufacturer’s model(s).
Typical project size for full exterior renovation is about 3 weeks (weather permitting), once we receive all materials needed to complete your project.
